Levels of membership and costs

Student membership

Open to undergraduates training to become statutorily registered healthcare professionals. Requires no previous training or qualification in homeopathy.

Associate membership

Open to statutorily registered healthcare professionals. Requires no previous training or qualification in homeopathy.

Licenced Associate

Open to statutorily registered healthcare professionals who have passed the Primary Health Care Examination, Preliminary Certificate in Veterinary Homeopathy examination or LFHom(Vet) examination.  Licenced Associates may use the qualification LFHom, subject to re-accreditation every five years. Licenced Associates are eligible to be included in the 'Find a practitioner' search on the British Homeopathic Association’s website which promotes homeopathy to the general public. The search receives tens of thousands of hits a year.

Diplomate

Open to pharmacists and podiatrists who have passed the Faculty's Diploma examination. Diplomates may use the letters DFHom subject to re-accreditation every five years. Diplomates are eligible to be included in the 'Find a practitioner' search on the British Homeopathic Association’s website.

Full membership

Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, veterinary surgeons, podiatrists and osteopaths who have passed the Faculty's membership examination may become full members of the Faculty and are entitled to use the letters MFHom or VetMFHom. Those who are practising homeopaths, willing to take on new patients, can choose to be included in the 'Find a practitioner' search on the British Homeopathic Association’s website.

Fellowship

Fellows are elected from among the full membership and, having met the criteria for admission to Fellowship, are entitled to use the letters FFHom or VetFFHom.

The subscription year runs from 1 January 2010 till 31st December 2010 or 1st June 2010 till 30th June 2011.
