Podiatrists
Entry requirements
Podiatrists must be registered with the Health Professions Council or similar body overseas with reciprocal registration arrangements.
Introductory training -
leading to the qualification LFHom (Pod)
These courses enable podiatrists to extend their ability to meet patients' needs. Homeopathic podiatry is a complementary therapy for the treatment of acute and chronic disorders of the skin, bones and nails of the lower limbs. The healing potential of homeopathic medicine combined with Marigold Therapy topical applications and the professional skills of the podiatrist achieve resolution of difficult and chronic conditions which do not respond to routine podiatry alone. Without adverse effects, homeopathic podiatry is suitable for all age groups, including those "at risk" eg people with diabetes and those for whom invasive treatments are contra-indicated. The effectiveness of homeopathic podiatry encourages patient compliance and interest in maintaining foot health.
Further training –
leading to the qualification MFHom (Pod)
Teaching leading towards the MFHom (Pod) qualification starts in September 2009.
