WSWSHG Meeting

This month we will be joined on Tuesday 19th, from 8-10pm on Zoom by Dr Leo Faedo, an agronomist and sociologist from Brazil, working at the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience (CAWR) at Coventry University.

In an exclusive address to our group entitled Homeopathy, Agriculture and Environment: Integrating Ecology and Systemic Thinking, Dr Faedo will be exploring the innovative role of Homeopathy beyond human health, presenting it as a systemic, ecological approach that supports the vitality of people, plants, soil, animals, and the environment. 

Rooted in the principle of stimulating the organism’s innate self-regulatory capacity, as he explains, Homeopathy acts as a bio-stimulatory tool that enhances resilience rather than suppressing symptoms. In agriculture, it offers a low-residual impact technology that works in ultra-low doses while strengthening plant resistance, improving soil vitality, and supporting animal health. By reducing dependence on chemical inputs, it aligns naturally with organic and regenerative systems. More than a therapeutic method, Homeopathy emerges as a social technology—accessible, affordable, and empowering—encouraging systemic thinking and a renewed relationship between human health and ecosystem health. In the face of global environmental and public health challenges, it offers a transformative framework for planetary health, fostering harmony between people and the living systems that sustain life.

Since 2013, Dr Faedo has pursued multidisciplinary research in agroecology and food systems, focusing on health promotion strategies, including Homeopathy and the use of dynamized high dilutions. His work bridges agricultural sciences, ecology, and systems thinking to advance transformative pathways toward planetary health.
