Mr Edward De Beukelaer

Born in Belgium in 1962, Flemish-speaking, and fluent in French and English, Edward completed his Veterinary studies in Belgium at Antwerp (RUCA) from 1980 - 1983 and Ghent (RUG) from 1983 - 1986.

He was a partner in a mixed veterinary Practice in the north of France from 1988 - 2000 (Houdain) before moving to the UK and undertaking locum work from 2000 - 2016. Since then, he has been a Principal in a small animal practice in Marlborough, UK (Riverside Veterinary Centre).

He first studied Homeopathy from 1992 - 1996 at a course organised by the SHV in Paris, France. From 1997 - 2001, he attended a Homeopathy course organised by CLH (Marc Brunson) in Esneux Belgium, and from 2006 - 2010, he was part of the editing team for Homepathy4Everyone (Hpathy.com). From 2009 - 2013, he was the animator of a case discussion group in Bristol UK, and in 2006, he published the book, "Homeopathy: What to Expect?", which was later translated into German in 2009.

Since 2012, he has been the coordinator and translator for the Veterinary Materia Medica published by the IAVH (International Association for Veterinary Homeopathy). In October 2014, he presented a poster Session on Homeopathy at the first Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine Congress organised by the Royal College of Veterinary Medicine, in Windsor, UK.

Edward was President of the IAVH from 2015 - 2019 and currently serves as Senior Vice President of the IAVH. In 2018, he was invited by the Indian Government to participate in the WIM Forum conference in Goa. In 2021, he was awarded the VetMFHom qualification by the Faculty of Homeopathy.

He currently represents Veterinary Surgeons at the ECH and EUROCAM and has been a member of the Council of the ECH since 2021. He has also been Chair of the ECH Working Group on Integrative Medicine.
