Professor Ashley Ross

BIOGRAPHY:

· Associate Professor and former Interim-Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Durban University of Technology (DUT), South Africa.

· Former Head of the Department of Homeopathy at DUT.

· Has been in private practice and teaching homeopathic philosophy and materia medica for 30 years, as well as engaging in clinical and research supervision [60 completed Masters and 5 PhDs].

· Has delivered lectures and seminars in South Africa, India, Latvia and the UK, and presented research papers at congresses in 16 countries, and reviews for 7 international medical journals.

· Sub-Editor (Clinical Research) of the International Journal of High-dilution Research (IJHDR).

· An internationally-regarded expert in the field of homeopathic provings.

· Has served as the representative for Homoeopathy on the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) for 10 years (2006-2016) and thereafter as a representative for Homeopathy on the Professional Board for Homoeopathy, Naturopathy and Phytotherapy (2017-2022).

· Until recently, the Secretary for Research of the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis (LMHI).

· Member of the Sub-committee: Provings of the European Committee for Homoeopathy (ECH).

· Former Trustee and current Member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Homeopathy Research Institute (HRI).

· Recently relocated to Baden-Baden, Germany, to take up the role of Homeopathic Scientific Liaison at Biologische Heilmittel Heel.

William Kadleigh Memorial Lecture

Following Dr William Kadleigh's tragic death in the Staines Air Disaster in 1972, the William Kadleigh Memorial Fund was set up by his parents to help other young Doctors to study Homeopathy.

This fund has now been extended to create a lasting legacy by supporting leading Homeopathic speakers to deliver a biennial William Kadleigh Memorial Lecture.

The inaugural William Kadleigh Memorial Lecture was delivered at the Faculty of Homeopathy Congress in 2024 by Dr Lisa Amerine, President of the American Institute of Homeopathy.
