Dr David Owen

Dr David Owen is a long-standing Member and Fellow of the Faculty of Homeopathy. He has served on many of the Faculty's Standing Committees, including the Faculty Council, and led the organisation as President from 1996 - 1998.
He also served as the Faculty of Homeopathy's GMC Responsible Officer.
Dr Owen started in Homeopathic and Holistic practice in 1982 and then went on to be a co-founder of the Homeopathic Physicians Teaching Group (HPTG) to promote the training of Doctors and Vets. He is a Member of the South West Deanery tutor group and is involved in training doctors in clinical supervision.
In 1997, he won the Joan Dawkins Educational prize for development of Familiarisation Module in CAM.
He was a Principal Clinical Teaching Fellow at the School of Medicine, Southampton University, from 2006 - 2018
He has authored several books, including "Principles and Practice of Homeopathy", published by Elsevier in 2007, and "Clinical Supervision in the Medical Profession", published by Open University Press in 2012.
He retired from Clinical practice in 2025 and is currently taking time to think, whilst enjoying being a part-time Grandparent, Coach, and Supervisor.
