How did you start your journey in Homeopathy practice?

As a child, my family and I used Homeopathy for almost all of our ailments. I personally benefited from homeopathy for eczema and allergic bronchitis and also saw my family members getting relief for multiple other conditions as well. After my graduation from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, I felt drawn towards studying Homeopathy and learning a more holistic approach towards health. I did the course at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital and became a Member of the Faculty in 2009. I later also completed the Diploma in Classical Homeopathy from IACH in 2016. I have been in private practice and using Homeopathy extensively since 2010 and have had really promising results by integrating it with conventional medicine.

How do you integrate Homeopathy in your professional practice?

Integrating Homeopathy with conventional medicine has enabled me to largely reduce the prescription of antibiotics, analgesics and anti allergy medications. People in India are very aware of and open to Homeopathy. Integrative medicine practiced with a temperate and scientific approach has helped me have a practice where the patient’s best interests are kept at the forefront by giving them best results with least possible side effects. While homeopathy remains a preferred option for chronic ailments like migraine, chronic pains, allergies, IBS, eczema etc, I find that it also works beautifully in certain acute conditions like URTI’s, UTI’s, gastritis, diarrhoea etc. as well. The beauty of integrative medicine is that based on the condition, we can choose therapeutic options which can give best results and thus personalise care for the patients.
