How did you start your journey in Homeopathy practice?
I was a general practice nurse and attended a study day at the local practice nurse group where the speaker was a GP and homeopath. I was inspired by his presentation and decided to apply for the course. I started the course in Glasgow in 1999 and gained the Primary Health Care Certificate in 2000. I did continue to study for a further 3 years with the intention of taking the MFHom exam, but never did due to pressures of work. I finally went back to study homeopathy again when I retired from my full time post as Associate Nurse Director.
How do you integrate Homeopathy in your professional practice?
In the last few years it is very difficult to use homeopathy within my nursing practice as the health board in this area does not support it. I do promote homeopathy to my patients and help them to understand how they can access it.
