Medical Homeopath
How did you start your journey in medical Homeopathy?
I first trained in homeopathy whilst working as a Senior House Officer at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital (now Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine) 1995-1996, when Quin Ward was still open for in-patient homeopathic care. I continued into private practice and have also provided an integrated/homeopathic clinic within the gynaecology outpatients at Whittington Hospital NHS Trust for several years (until the clinical commissioning group stopped the funding). I have been The Faculty of Homeopathy Dean (responsible for the overall academic direction of the Faculty) since 2022.
How do you integrate Homeopathy in your professional practice?
I integrate homeopathic practice with a range of other holistic disciplines, including western and Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, healing, anthroposophic medicine, and medical astrology. I also teach a 4-year practitioner training homeopathy course within the non-statutory lay sector, since 1998. Much of my philosophy and work is informed by anthroposophy, based on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner. I have been involved in a number of homeopathic provings over the years, and have written a couple of Materia Medicas, book title: Spiritual Bioenergetics of Homeopathic Materia Medica volumes 1 and 2. As Medical Dean, my aim is to continue promoting the excellence of the training route through the Faculty’s accredited training centres, and widen the continuing professional development opportunities to our members.
